One Hope Church
Connect. Grow. Go
Here at One Hope Church, we have many wonderful people who serve each and every Sunday. Take a look at who you will meet on any given Sunday!

Pastor
Johnny Upchurch
Hi, my name is Johnny, and I am blessed to serve as the Pastor of One Hope Church. I moved to Northern Colorado in August of 2019, so I've been at One Hope for over six years now. My wife's name is Angela and I have a son named Micah. Growing up in Belarus, a former Soviet republic, has given me an appreciation and passion to connect with all kinds of people from a variety of backgrounds. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and kayaking. My go-to Bible verse to help me through tough times is Isaiah 30:21. The two great passions of my life are Jesus and people, and the goal of my life is to connect these two passions by introducing people to Jesus and watching them grow in their walk with Him.

Worship Pastor
Isaac Blackwell
Hello, my name is Isaac. I am the worship pastor here at One Hope. My wife Kelsey and I have been here since Jan of 2019, we came during the replant period of our church's history. In those days we had just been married for 3 months before deciding that this was the home God was calling us to. Definitely does not feel like it has been as long as it has but we have had two wonderful little girls since then that tell me otherwise. Adelyn is our oldest and her little sister is Lucy. I have been a Colorado native my entire life. I enjoy hiking when I can, shooting my compound bow, playing pickleball and talking to people one on one. Although my hobbies do change from year to year, so who knows what I will be doing next year. My favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 as it is the verse that saved me and allowed me to see that my life was not in line with what God wanted for my life.

Treasurer
Kelsey Blackwell
My name is Kelsey, and I have called northern Colorado home for over 20 years. My husband and I started attending One Hope in January 2019, shortly after we got married. We have two wonderful daughters with whom we spend most of our time. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, and playing board games. I daily hold onto the truth found in 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness but one of power, love, and sound judgment.” Besides volunteering for the worship team and children’s ministry, I am also the church treasurer.

Deacon
Brandt Eiring
My name is Brandt Eiring. I was born in Nebraska but grew up right here in Greeley, Colorado. I'm single and have no kids. I started visiting or attending One Hope church occasionally with my mom almost 4 years ago, she has been a member for over 20 years. I decided to become a full-time member a little over a year and a half ago. I currently serve in several areas of the church, and I am also in Deacon training. I have a heart for God and heart for people that is why I continue to serve wherever I am needed. Whether it's in the children ministry, the sound booth or being part of the fellowship team. I'm truly grateful to God for all he has done for me and so my go to scripture is Acts 20:24. I enjoy spending time with family but also enjoy mountain scenery and wildlife.

Deacon
Joe Crespin
Hey! My name is Joe and I am currently serving as a deacon here at One Hope. I started coming in 2019 with my wife, Julie and our three daughters, Eboni, Ivory and Maddison. I grew up in Fort Collins/ Loveland area. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My life verse is John 3:16 because it reminds me of what God has done, especially when life gets difficult.

Children's Ministry Leader
Ellie Bailey
My name is Elliana but everyone calls me Ellie. I was born in Colorado but my family moved to Kansas for a time, eventually moving back to Colorado where I have lived ever since. My husband, Trevor, and I got married in 2020. After that we were on the hunt for a church we could serve together and grow in. In 2023, while I was pregnant with our first child, Quincy, we found One Hope Church. In April of 2025 I had our son, Milo. I lead the children's ministry and am a part of the fellowship team. If I am not downstairs reading bible stories, coloring or making crafts with the kids, I enjoy reading historical fiction or Christian romance books, making crafts, planning events, and drinking iced coffee. My favorite bible verse is James 1:2-4 "2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything" Reminding me to find the joy during hard times in my life.

Fellowship Team Leader
Kendra Thomason
My name is Kendra Thomason. I was born and raised in Colorado. Currently, I live in the house that my father built on our farm outside of Hudson. I have been at One Hope for 62 years. (Before the church was named One Hope, it was called Hillside Baptist Church.) I am single and have never been married. I am a retired school teacher. In my free time I like to work on crafts, make quilts, and go shopping! I serve on the Fellowship Team and teach an adult Bible Study class each Sunday morning at One Hope Church. My favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10. "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." (KJV)

Media Ministry Leader
Trevor Bailey
Hi! I’m Trevor Bailey. I’ve been attending One Hope Church since October 2023 and serve as the Media Ministry Leader, overseeing audio, livestream, and technical production for services. I enjoy using technology and creativity to help foster an environment where people can clearly hear and engage with worship and teaching, and I also enjoy equipping and supporting the volunteers who serve in media each week. Outside of church, I love spending time with my wife, Ellie and our two kids—our daughter Quincy and our son Milo. I also enjoy playing video games, practicing musical instruments, listening to music, and working on creative “makerspace-style” projects like 3D printing and light coding. A Bible passage I try to focus my life on, is Matthew 22:37–40 (GW): Jesus answered him, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ All of Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.” I grew up in Brighton, Colorado, and I’m grateful to be part of the One Hope community and to serve alongside the team each week.
